I have always loved athletics, of any type. My desire usually exceeded my ability and I have a closet full of most improved awards to show for my efforts. Rugby was my post collegiate sport of choice with plenty of Navy intramural sports thrown in for variety and the occasional marathon just to see if I could (barely). Working out became my haven, at first running, going through 3 sets of tires on a baby jogger that saw me through 4 kids and at least 6 moves, then aerobic classes, and finally we all started learning the importance of weight bearing exercises. A friend told me about CrossFit and I was hooked from the very first workout. I loved everything about it, the intensity, the weights, and from the minute I entered the Finley’s garage, the community. I believe everyone can do CrossFit, that they will leave the box a little stronger in body and mind, being more willing to try something new and encourage others in their efforts. This is why I became a coach. Every time I coach, I will humbly give my best effort to help you improve, whether you are lifting the bar for the first time or the thousandth.
