What is your favorite WOD(s) or Skill(s)?
Power Cleans, Hang Clean and Kettlebells are some of my favorite lifts. I don’t have a favorite WOD but prefer the longer chipper WODs.
What WOD is at the bottom of your list?
Anything with Deadlifts.
How would you describe your diet? (Paleo, Primal, Zone, Clean, etc.)
I try to follow my own 80/20 rule every week. I eat 80% Paleo and the 20% will journey outside the clean eating realm.
How did you hear about CrossFit Trenches?
We moved to Lake Saint Louis from Kansas City and I was looking to continue doing CrossFit. I found Trenches on the affiliate map from CrossFit’s main site in my area, did a drop in and I’ve been there ever since.
How long have you been doing CrossFit?
Officially started in December of 2009.
Describe your biggest milestone, achievement, or “A-ha” moment at CFT?
Doing any workout RX’d is always an achievement for me. My biggest “A-ha” was when I made it to the top of the rope. This was the first time I’ve ever climbed a rope.
What encouragement or advice would you give to new people coming in?
Don’t give up and always push yourself. Always remember that even though CrossFit is intimidating you can scale any of the workouts that suits your ability.
What’s your favorite motivational quote and why?
This quote always comes to mind. For me this can be applied to anything in my life. Things don’t just happen overnight and takes hard work, time and dedication to achieve your goals.
